Just watching working lunch on BBC 2 and they featured this today! What a great idea for young people don't you think? The competiton runs from today until 23rd February 2007 - just 1 month for 10,000 students from UK schools/colleges to made an impact with just a £10 note!
There is also the tenner blog which you can check in on here!
Offical quote taken from the website:-
Andrew Reynolds, who is donating the money for Make Your Mark with a Tenner, said: “We need to stop being afraid of our young and stop putting them down all the time. I want to prove that they're far from being the worst in Europe, with the right encouragement they have the potential to be the best.
"That’s why I thought it was time an entrepreneur like me put their money where their mouth is, to allow young people to prove that they’re not all a bunch of violent hoodies, but dynamic and enterprising young people when given the chance who just happen to be young. And this is just the beginning - I’d like to see other entrepreneurs do the same. With £100,000 this year, why not a million next time!”
What impact would you have if you were given a £10?
