Do you remember when you was a kid and when your mum put the hairdryer on or started up the hoover? You'd sit on top of the tv and turn the volume right up just so you could carry on watching your programme...
The house we moved into last August now feels like home ~ we have all settled in. There is still much to be done though. You know its the little things that I like doing in the house. For example, I have an oil cloth already on the kicthen table but I have been on the hunt for a new one ~ just to bring a new feel to the room.
I have recently been introduced to viva la frida which has the most delightful mexican oil cloth for sale. Their sister site is oil cloth uk. My friend ordered a few different oils and has simply covered her kitchen stools ~ they look stunning.
When visiting viva la frida, i was drawn to these in particular:-
So I think I might order some oil soon. Whilst on the kitchen, if you have any favorite websites that have a vintage or english or country or thrifty feel, please let me know... I'd love to find some new places to look.
IN our house, the kettle is always on the stove as soon as my little legs can get me to the kitchen once the morning alarm has buzzed...
I love tea.... always a pot on the go in our house. Until recently I always drank tea which was on special offer at the local supermarket. Since moving house over the summer, I have surprised myself and found that my favorite cuppa is now that made of yorkshire tea.
SO when you stop by, please feel free to ask for a nice cuppa! I can make you a cup of coffee if you prefer but would much rather take you to Starbucks for that!
WHEN I was younger, never did I think that my life would take me travelling on this path. A path that seems so far away from the list I made at about 13-14 saying that in 10 years time I would love to be flying with the red arrows! Never done that to date but amazingly part of my list was to have a family and to have a good man to love. That I have. He is amazing the man of my world. He is strong and courageous. He is steadfast and always finds a bit of extra love to throw at me when I'm not feeling it. He works hard. He cares but I still have to remind him to put the bins out!I love my boys. Individuals. But each beautiful.
SO here I am. Some days pouring out full ladles of love around to those in my world. Those days are easy as the pot is full and the pouring is easy. The love is warm and kind and satifys those around. Some days though, I have to work hard at scrapping the bottom of the pot just to try and get a little bit more on the ladle. Love isn't always that easy is it? Tiredness of what's happening around take over. But thankfully others ladles are plentiful and soon mine is too again.
SO many inspring, encouraging, homemade, vintageness all rolled up into daily blog reads that I have had the privledge to visit often and walk through the open doors of bloggers and enter their worlds. Friends that I have never met in person but somehow have become a part of my daily life.
THEY have become scoopful of pearls in my world. Ladles of love poured out as they write down their moments of laughter, tears, joys and sadness. Somehow continuing no matter what the day brings to still inviting us into their daily lifes. So here I am again. Ready for whats ahead. Ready to bring my scoopful of pearls and ladles of love to the table. No longer just about my old blog of the past but a new blog for today. A real me blog. Not just about items of vintage tupperware and thrifting bargains to hide behind. But me, my boys, the love of my life, my God and my saviour Jesus.
What can I say - I collect vintage Tupperware from various sources such as car boots, charity shops, exchanges from other people, school fairs, from my mother in laws cupboard, ebay and from vintage Pleasure another great blogger.
Loving all things vintage and things made with loving hands. Loving things that other's would consider 'tat'. I live life like the Hard Rock Cafe does 'Love All, Serve All'... Oh yeah and Jesus said something like this... so I guess I live life as Jesus said too!
