Maybe you've noticed I've not been around for a month. Yep! I challenged myself to be blog free for one whole month. I have managed it quite well except from a few visits here and there. My it was hard to cut you all out of my life for a while. Though I did check out Isabella's arrival to the world and the pictures from this lovely lady's well deserved week away with her hubbie!
Anyway I'm spilling the beans and explaining why 'once upon a time' is the new focus for my blog name.
After giving up selling Tupperware and managing to celebrate a year of blogging, I felt it time for a different direction on what I do and say from my little blog. I have met some of you along the way through your inspiring, honest, creative thoughts, words and pictures etc. I hope we can continue to read the story together....
This is a new book, a new chapter and a new beginning.... So once upon a time....
I know of a little baby girl who was born. What a lovely mummy she had to look after her - no daddy though. Lots of smiley faces visited the little one whilst she spent some days, probably about two weeks in hospital - no smiley face from her mummy though as she was kept away. Sometimes, as the baby girl starred at the smiley faces, moments of sadness would burst through their eyes as the mummy's mummy died quite soon after the little one came along. The doctors concerned themselves about how the 'young' mummy would look after her little one what with her little heart not strong.
A kind nurse bought a pretty dress and matching frilly pants for the baby girl. A special moment happened at the hospital. Water touched the baby girl's head and fingers of the chaplin signed the cross. Baptised so if she died God would be able to welcome her into the kingdom of heaven.
People still say today that that baby girl is special. She sometimes forgets that but someone is usually close by to remind her...
ps. For you sis to hopefully bring a cheer whilst you are ill. Lola eating a snail...
Thank goodness she doesn't live at our house!
